Each week the Nottingham New Theatre presents at least one show of award-winning standards, but, this is far from all that we offer! We are proud to host a series of workshops designed for all members, which feature every aspect of the theatre, from acting and directing to building set, all with the aim of developing your skills in exciting and engaging ways. Watch out for acting workshops on accents, approaching Shakespeare, monologues and even physical theatre, as well as workshops aimed at new writers, directors, technical operators, sound design, and set design and construction.

Our aim is to provide exciting ways for anyone to get involved, no matter what their interest, and we hope to have workshops led by some reputable figures in the industry, as well as making collaborations with our very own Nottingham New Theatre Drama Club, and the external season The Nottingham New Theatre Uncut.

The Nottingham New Theatre Drama Club

This group meets every week and will focus on everything from improvisation skills and script work to drama games, rehearsal techniques and technical skills.

Workshop Workshop @ The Nottingham New Theatre – 27th February 2013

Come along to be trained up in all aspects of the workshop. This will include equipment, skills, technique and of course will be a chance to ask questions! Once you’ve been fully trained up you can get straight to working on shows.

Accents Workshop @ Djanogly Theatre, Lakeside Arts Centre – 13th March 2013
