THREE WEEKS 4* REVIEW OF 'COME ON, JEEVES!'
What begins as a comedy of manners quickly descends into a farcical romp through a quintessential English manor. The vigorous pace and energy of the cast whip the audience into a frenzy as the absurdity of their large characters create a seductively silly atmosphere. There are some very strong performances delivered by Jeeves, Mrs Spottsworth and Sahib Biggar (who sounded rather like Dixon Bainbridge of Mighty Boosh fame). The only weakness of this production is that nothing exciting was done with the set. However, the boundless energy of the young cast constantly distracts from the drab interior decor. Utlimately it is the cast who save this play from becoming just another drab fringe production.
