New Theatre is back! A huge welcome to all our Freshers and welcome back to returners!
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is taking place on Wed 1st October in the theatre and if you want to see what we’re all about you MUST be there. Directors’ introductions to the semester’s plays and sign-ups for auditions will also take place there so it really is essential you get along. There are two AGMs taking place so that we can cram you all in; the first is at 1pm and the other at 3pm. Come to either.
If you get signed up for a membership you will become a part of the most exciting and only 100% student-run theatre in the country. More decorated than your average war hero, we currently hold the National Student Drama Festival (NSDF) Judges’ Award for Promoting Student Theatre, as well as eight separate awards for Nottingham shows at the week-long festival.
This Summer we had five Nottingham-associated productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival including two sponsored productions which received both 5-star reviews and “Sell-Out” status. You can become our shining light for next year!
With around 12 shows on per semester, each of which has a four-night run there is a huge demand for actors, actresses, directors, techies, set-designers, workshoppers and all the rest. If you want to be you can and WILL be involved.
Make sure you get to the AGM or face missing out for a whole semester. Award-winning* director Andy McNamee of campus-wide fame may even be there but don’t explode with excitement, we need you there.
We can’t wait to see you next Wednesday, we hope you’re as excited as we are!
