The New Theatre has won an award: at the closing ceremony of NSDF ‘08 last Friday we received a Special Judges’ Award for Promoting Student Theatre. This was in recognition of the fact that we are completely student-run, and have, for the second year running, had two productions selected for the Festival. The Judges were particularly impressed by the fact that our members are not Drama Students, and come from all possible walks of university life. In the light of this, hopefully the University will find it very difficult to demolish our, ahem, Award Winning New Theatre. Congratulations to everybody, you’re the ones that make it happen.
